McCane Wins Amy Z Memorial Tournament
When you claim the "biggest fish" award and the rest of the anglers just stare at you its gonna be a great day for that angler. Zach McCane shook off the stares (all in jest) and the rest of the field to win the First Annual Amy Z Memorial Tournament. His 3 fish limit of 47.25" bested Steve Eckstein's 43.75" to claim the biggest 3 total. This event was geared to raise money for the James Cancer Center research fund to eradicate cancer and was a great success. The field consisted of past NAPRA greats the Halleys (Nick and Karl), the Hills (Mike and Tim), sponsors like Steve Eckstein of The American Tackle Company and current NAPRA anglers including McCane, Aaron Newel and others. This event was especially special to Pete Ziehler, NAPRA Founder, as change to rekindle with past anglers, make new memories, and have a blast in honor of his late wife. The NAPRA anglers and community raised over $500 for the cause.
