NAPRA NEWS: DAYTON CUP A WIN FOR ALL (AND KARL HALLEY!)
NAPRA was thrilled to be part of the Wagner Subaru Outdoor Experience in 2022, a celebration of the outdoors including camping, hiking, biking, and of course fishing. The NAPRA pros consisting of current members and alum met on the waters of the Mad River at Eastwood Metro Park and battled it out to see what 5 fish would be the most.
NAPRA career win and Hall of Famer Karl Halley started the festivities off fast with a 14" bass and 18" sucker in the first half an hour. David Craig caught a limit in the same time span and the battle was on.
Halley's impressive 88.5" included saugeye, suckers, and bass was the top total. David Craig had an impressive 56.25" followed by Steve Eckstein's 49".
The true win was helping youngers at the "Try Fishing" booth and talking to the public about fishing.
The event was sponsored by NAPRA, Five Rivers MetroParks, Fishermans Headquarters, Smales Pretzel Bakery, and Cast Cray Outdoors.
