NAPRA NEWS: Gardner Catches 2nd Most Total in an Event History/ Scorches Competiton
While some anglers struggled Shaun Gardner crafted an 84.25" bag to win the YUM Elite Stage 1 event on Twin Creek and the lower GMR. His bag included a 19.25 behemoth and really set him up for quite a start in AOY standings as well. Finishing second was Ryan Buckler, the 2023 ROY with a nice 70" bag followed by Dave Craig. Craig was close to Ryan with a 68.75 bag.

Well, Mother Nature was trying its best to squelch the hopes of the NAPRA anglers but Shaun Gardner, the ever so positive NAPRA angler, managed enough fish to edge Dave Craig to win the Yum Eltie State 2 presented by Whitty Outdoors LLC, Breezy Bombers, and Swampro Lures. His 70.75" edged Dave's 70.25 for his second win on the season. Rookie PJ Varnadoe was third with an impressive 68.25"

In today's NAPRA Elite Series, presented by Pradco Outdoor Brands, Bigg-Fish Lures, and Chompers, the anglers battled rain and murky water but didn't disappoint. Craig's 76.25" bested the field and was almost a keeper more than second place angler Aaron Newell. Aaron's 69" included a nice 17" bass. His brother, Bryan Newell finished for the first time in his career in the Top 3 with a nice 62.75" bag.

NAPRA NEWS: Duff Claims His 1st NAPRA Victory! Ward Close Second
In the history of NAPRA the winners circle has always had names like Halley, Fetterman, Craig, and in recent years Newell and Gardner. In todays NAPRA YUM Elite #4 two names not common but well deserved on the pedestal were uttered by the scorekeeper.
Randall Duff battled in a new spot on the Paint Creek system to score 76.5" to win the event. He stated it was a tough win but he truly conquered hitting new waters. Cole Ward topped the big bass board with a 17.5" to bag 74.75" for a close second finish. Dave Craig kept his name near the top in 3rd with 69.25" and now overtook 4th place finisher Shaun Gardner (69.5') to lead the 2024 standings and AOY race.

Well, Aaron Newell must have had the right recipe for success as he won the NAPRA Pro Wading YUM Elite Stage 6 on the waters of the Darby. The event, brought to you by Rebel Lure Company, 3 Brothers Baits, and Appalachian Baits, was tough for the anglers but a great challenge and fun for all.
